Unveiling of "The Requiem" art installation at Buena Vista Park. Slide dated June 1988. According to the Burbank Leader, Requiem was a controversial sculpture dedicated to "Defenders of the Constitution." It was unveiled on Friday May 27, 1988 by Bob Hope and then mayor Michael Hastings. It was "described as a contemporary eternal flame crafted by sculptor Erwin Binder."
