Description
Kathleen J. Turner discusses her book, “Lyndon Johnson’s Dual War.” She begins by explaining President Lyndon Johnson’s struggle with inheriting the presidency after John F. Kennedy was assassinated. She talks about Johnson’s struggle with continuing the Vietnam War. She describes interviews that she conducted with Johnson’s friends and family. Turner discusses the relationship between Johnson and his political rival, Bobby Kennedy. She ends the interview by talking about Johnson’s decision not to rerun for the Presidency in 1968.
