6 images. Fashions, Ambassador Hotel, for Babbette, 3 March 1958. Charles Knowles Ashley Cowan. (Printed for daily for Carter Ludlow) Sleeve reads: S-12301). Supplementary material reads: "Lou Mack - Fashions. Ambassador (Babbette) 3/4: Charles Le Maire creates this costume for Suzy Parker, soon to be seen in 'Ten North Frederic'. Full-length wool coat is in 'hunting pink', the dress a combination of a white Alencon lace and slim black crepe skirt. Adding atmosphere is Charles Knowles, Pipe Major of the Royal Highlanders, who appear in Paramount's 'The Buccaneers'. 51/50: Addie Masters, noted California designer creates a dramatic at-home costume of red printed satin and red chiffon. The first of the 'chemise' hostess pajamas, the chiffon back is bloused, with floating panels to the floor. Admiring the model is Ashley Cowan, who plays 'Mouse' in Paramount's 'The Buccaneers'. All of these fashions were seen yesterday for the first time at the 'Fashionations' show in the Embassy Room of the Ambassador Hotel. 29/30: Irene, world famous California designer created this lovely evening ensemble for 'Fashionations' of imported white lace over silver lame, the sheath gown flowed into a short train. 'Wrap' is a cloud of tulle, depicting the balloon silhouette".
