Photograph caption dated May 28, 1956 reads, "Mrs. Roy Nelson, right, accepts trophy as new Granada Hills Woman of the Year from Mrs. James Berry, president of Granada Hills Junior Women's Club. Mrs. Nelson was cited for her work with youth in community. Leader of the weekly teenage community dances, she was officer of PTA, founder of club for parents of adopted children, and member of election board."
