Photograph caption dated May 22, 1956 reads "Once famous El Caballero Country Club rose from the past yesterday as ground-breaking began for the 'new' El Caballero yesterday at Tarzana. Dick Arlen, left, Virginia Grey, councilman Bob Wilkinson and president Bernie Shapiro were on hand for the ceremonies. Models, left, Charlene Megowan and Cathy Sellers are aboard one of four huge bulldozers that started work yesterday."
