Taken from the southwest corner of Seventh and I Streets, this 1956 photograph shows the front and side of the County of Sacramento Administration Building at 827 Seventh Street. The structure was completed in the same year for nearly two million dollars by the Stolte Construction Company of Oakland. Its design was carfted by Sacramento-based architect Harry Devine. The County Welfare Department was the first tenant of building, taking up residence in February 1956.
