How the walkout of 2600 Pacific Electric trainmen affected the war effort is illustrated in this photo showing many freight cars and tankers containing oil and other war supplies tied up at the company's 25th and Alameda St. rail yard. Passenger service was also paralyzed. Photo dated: September 25, 1943.
