Photograph caption dated May 22, 1965 reads, "Mother Nature? - View of projected 17 1/2 acre Busch Gardens, lying west and south of Anheuser-Busch Inc., 15800 Roscoe Blvd. in Van Nuys. Most of area seen here will be flooded for lagoon. In foreground at right are man-made cliffs, and in the view looking northeast toward Roscoe Boulevard can be seen some of the pavilions being erected. Coming world-wide attraction of the Valley will cost estimated $3.5 million, and will include lagoons, waterfalls, forests, pavilions and a gift shop. Target date for completion is set for January, 1966."
