Description
A devastating brush fire jumped the highway, demolishing beach structures between Topanga Canyon and Las Flores Canyon following Thanksgiving of 1938. Several other blazes caused similar damage in at least three other Southern California due to dry, windy conditions. On reverse: CL 10,005 "ACME TELEPHOTO" Cleveland Bureau. Brush fire destroys Californian homes. Santa Monica, Calif. Pictured above is all that remains of two apartment houses, of 11 units each, and six bugalows on the beach near Santa Monica.
