Description
Original photograph has a horizontal crease in the middle of the picture.
Photograph caption dated October 10, 1962 reads "No cheering crowds for these determined athletes. The runners wend their way over a rugged course that is a real test of endurance." The article partially reads "Each Thursday afternoon some 800 young runners turn out to test their stamina against the rugged Pierce College cross country course." Pierce College is in Woodland Hills. See images 00157106 through 00157109 for all photos in this series.
