Photograph of a portrait of an engraving of George H. Bonebrake, [s.d.]. He can be seen from the chest up facing slightly to the right. He has short wavy hair and a large grey goatee and mustache. He is wearing a three-piece suit with a bow tie. The background is light. "Eng'd by H.B. Hall's Sons, N.Y." -- at bottom. Photoprint reads: "Banker and Merchant(?)". With F.C. Hawes, he co-founded the Semi-Tropic Land and Water Co., Los Angeles, in 1887, to "to purchase, improve, hold, and sell real estate, water and water rights and privileges build reservoirs and ditches and lay pipes distribute water and collect rates therefore issue bonds and borrow and loan money, etc." according the the company minutes.
