Description
Alvin Toffler discusses his book, “War and Anti-War.” He begins by explaining that the book deals with the topics of war and peace. He argues that the way humans go about obtaining wealth often leads to war. He points to the relation between innovations in business and warfare. He goes on to argue that the world needs to make similar innovations in the way humans make peace. Also in this interview he discusses the transformation of the U.S. military from the defeat and demoralization of Vietnam to its high performance in the Gulf. He explains that the forms of warfare have changed throughout history, from the agrarian age, which produced the hoe and sword to the industrial age, which developed the techniques of mass production and mass destruction.
