This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Three views of a mass meeting on Geary Street advocating the taking over of Geary Street Railroad for a municipal line. Top left shows crowd in front of Wing Lee Laundry building, some men on the roof to the right; top right and center left shows Mayor McCarthy speaking to a crowd. Text written under photos on page 61 top left and top right: "Mass Meeting on Geary St. advocating the taking over of Geary Street Railroad for a Municipal Line." Also written under page 61 top right: "P.H. McCarthy Mayor speaking." Written under page 61 center left: "Geary St Mass Meeting advocating Municipal ownership." Photo on page 61 top left is looking north across Geary towards the Wing Lee Laundry. A crowd is gathered and a small stage has been set up. Cemeteries can be seen behind the buildings and a tower is visible in the distance to the left. The photos at top right and center left are of the same location but looking west on Geary.
