A photograph of the main entrance to the first of the Ming Tombs in Guilin, Kangsi. This picture was taken from the top of a grave. During the revolution many of the entrances and statues were completely smashed, while others were thrown over and others partly smashed. Many of the figures wre too heavy to overthrow. The revolutionists did not disturb the graves. Since the revolution the Ming Tombs have been neglected.
