Description
Photograph of a painting by Einar Corsten Petersen, depicting "Covered Wagons Pushing Across the Plains", [s.d.]. Settlers are pictured moving down a grassy hill driving cattle, covered wagons in tow. One settler stands at center with his rifle braced against his shoulder and what appears to be a dead buffalo or steer at his side. Another settler behind him pulls a mule by the bit while a man on horseback whips a steer standing beside him. The covered wagons make a train that trails off into the distance behind them.
