Photograph caption dated January 20, 1965 reads, "A french room of finer fashions, an antiques section, a book section and bargains will be featured at the annual 'Rags 'N Riches' rummage sale sponsored by the Chatsworth Junior Women's Club from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29 at 21627 Devonshire St., Chatsworth. Arranging items for the event are, from left, Mmes. Jack Shafer, John Vogelsang and William Matthews. Others assisting Mrs. Jack Herlihy, chairman, and Mrs. Robert Cooper, co-chairman, are Mmes. Robert Armstrong, Edward Piper, E. O. Bowers, George Love, Bruce Magill, Garvin Aulepp, Keith Watts, Kenneth Levy, Ernest Scott, Robert Pierce, Paul Trietsch and John Williams. Proceeds from the sale, to which many Valley merchants have given their support, will help the Juniors in their philanthropic and youth activities."
