Photograph dated August 6, 1940. Photograph caption dated September 25, 1940 reads "Junior Auxiliary of the Jewish Home for the Aged. Miss Lien Deyers, Danish actress and life member of auxiliary, Mrs. Sam Katz, Mis Mary Pickford, Vera Kalman, wife of Emmerich Kalman, composer." Miss Pickford welcomed several hundred new members to the auxiliary during a garden party at her home in Beverly Hills, Pickfair.
