Description
View of Chico Firemen in the downtown city plaza park. Chico Fire Department (Calif.) From attached newspaper clipping: Fire Laddies in a Race. Chico, June 15. The Fire Department of Chico is congratulating itself upon a hose-raceing record now to it's credit. The men of engine No. 2 made a run of 150 yards in 29 seconds. 100 yards of course was to the hydrant. It was necessary to couple and lay 150 feet of hose, attach the nozzle and secure the stream in the time mentioned. This is considered the best time on record.
