Description
The notes accompanying the photos state: "Indian Culture - - Bill Franklin and daughter Claris perform a traditional Indian dance during ceremonies commemorating the North American Indian Day last night in Capitol Park. Some 150 persons witnessed the observance, which featured the reading of a proclamation by Gov. Ronald Reagan proclaiming the fourth Friday in September as Indian Day in California. Further observances are schedule today in Amador County at the Indian Grinding Rock State Historical Monument."
