Photograph caption dated February 24, 1942 reads, "Comedian Joe E. Brown and his personal secretary, Edith Richards, 23, are shown in center when they left by plane today for Anchorage, Alaska. It was a defense tour for the comedian, but for Miss Richards it was a matrimonial flight. In Alaska she will be married to Lieut. Arthur E. Reichl. Bidding them farewell are Jean Fuller, left, and Mrs. Joe E. Brown, in A. W. V. S. uniform."
