A short, metal fence stands around the perimeter of the lightly-colored statue at center. The statue depicts the queen sitting with a boy at her left and Christopher Columbus at her right. She looks towards the right foreground and extends her right hand. A quote his printed on the statue's base. Shadows make the intricate dome walls in the background difficult to view.
