Photograph caption dated August 9, 1961 reads, "Civic leaders and local Girl Scouts aid in the landscaping of a bare lot at the corner of Vineland Ave. and Sunland Blvd., Sun Valley, as part of the Sun Valley Beautiful project. Known as the 'triangle,' the corner plot was considered a neglected remnant of the area's business development. Helping to improve the situation are, from left, Hugh Hubbard, president of the Sun Vally Garden Club; Mrs. H. Paul Studt, leader of troop 1623 of the Girl Scouts; and, Paul Feist, chairman of the Sun Valley Beautiful Committee."
