Description
The Rindge "castle" on Laudamas Hill in central Malibu. May Rindge built this 50-room mansion for her family, although it was still unfinished at the time of her death in 1941. The site was purchased by the Franciscan Order of California in 1942, and the monks completed the structure for Serra Retreat. It would burn down in the 1970 fire.
