Photograph of USC head rugby coach Pat Higgins, chest up, in suit and bowler hat, December 2, 1913. From 1911-1913, USC did not have a football team, but had a rugby team instead, as many teams on the West Coast did in that era. USC returned to playing football again in 1914.
