PhotographÂ was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 14, 1954 reads, "Bombs fell, windows rattled, hot wires sizzled, sirens wailed, dogs barked and cats ran for cover during the dry run of the Civilian Defense Corps in Pacoima. All this occurred as first aiders, ambulance drivers, doctors and incidents were combined to show the preparedness of Pacoima should disaster strike."
