Description
(a-b) Women's unlined skirt suit designed, sewn and modeled by donor for the Singer Sewing Contest in 1957 in which she traveled to New York and won. a) Brown loose weave cotton blouse with short sleeves and five large cloth covered buttons down front. Collar is decorated in a band of intricate bead and thread work in white and beige. Bottom edge contains an attached sash. b) Matching pencil skirt made of same fabric but lacking any additional adornment.
