Description
Image shows view of the Charles Henry and Cora Belle Cheney residence, located on Via del Monte on lots 15, 16, 17, and 18, block 1615, tract 6884 in Malaga Cove. Elevated view looking southeast shows west side of the two-story, stucco house with tile roof, chimney and attached two-car garage. Several other houses, some under construction, are visible in background on bare hillsides. Eucalyptus groves are visible in distance. Charles H. Cheney (1884-1943) was city planner for the Palos Verdes Project and served on the Palos Verdes Art Jury from its inception in 1922 through 1940. The home was sold in 1934, and later owned by Horton Walkins (nd.)
