On back: "SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE; Julie F. Goss; 500 Sansome St. - GA rfield 1415. This is the first steel for the roof of the Terminal Building for the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge railway facilities. The steel was raised yesterday (Tues.) on the Fremont Street overhead, which connects the east and center units of the 780-foot building. By January of next year trains will be running over the structure where the derrick stands in this photograph. 900.11 JFG/AB.
