Description
Thought for the day by Charles Handy on how envy can negatively affect one's progress through life, and life satisfaction. Handy begins the thought discussing a parable story and the implications it has for the generosity of God's love, but also the destructiveness of envy. Handy proceeds to talk about how his own impulses are not toward elevating himself to try harder to emulate those who are more successful, but to tear them down. Handy then concludes that it is better to focus on one's own path forward than pay attention to others' successes.
