"This is the first of a number of Mr. Steak restaurants planned for the Sacramento area by Mr. Steak of Sacramento, Inc. Company President Stephen Engle, former San Francisco insurance executive, said negotiations are now in progress for two more sites in the area plus one in Stockton. This structure, managed by Alvin C. Molen, is at 5133 Madison Ave., east of Auburn Boulevard. It seats 128 in its 3,000 square feet of floor space ... It represents a total investment of $250,000 by the restaurant firm and by developer William McLaughlin of Sacramento ... The restaurant employs 28 persons, all but seven of them college students working short hours. The general contractor for the structure was John Swenson of Sacramento"
