Description
Tugging at his coat, pulling his tie and blocking his path, the sewing project women are shown laying hands on Supervisor Ford to keep him from escaping. They wanted to keep him in the hall so they could tell him the necessity of granting aid. "It's a state and federal problem," said the Supervisor Ford, the perfect picture of an exasperated man, was "rescued" by deputy sheriffs and matrons. Photo dated; February 24, 1938.
