Annotation translation: "Postcard from J.E. Staub, Nyasoso, to Bärtschi, dated 8. Nov. 1931. 'Dear Sango Baertschi! Many thanks for the information about schools [perhaps the periodical "Schulblätter"?] which I am receiving regularly. I would like to write a lot about the Seminary, but there is no time. We were very sad to hear of the death of our well-loved Inspector Oettli - [the Africa Secretary of the Basel Mission in Basel] - what a lot we have lost in his passing! May God give us the right successor! / Wunderlis have been posted to Buea ... last week Duala. Mrs Wunderli has not yet regained her strength. Mrs Wildi is laid out with kidney trouble. Sango Autenrieth had hookworm, but is better now. Sister A. Schuler has travelled to Besongabang - the two women are both expecting. - Here is a snap of us on trek. The schoolboys are listening to the wonderful christmas story which gives joy to us all. With warm best wishes, also to your family, in gratitude, J.E. Staub.'" Annotation: "Postkarte von J.E. Wie viel haben wir an ihm verloren. Gott, schenke uns den rechten Nachfolger./ Wunderlis wurden nach Buea versetzt letzte Woche ... Duala. Frau Wunderli ist noch nicht recht erstarkt Frau Wildi liegt im Bett an einer Nierengeschichte. Sgo. Autenrieth hatte Hackenwurm, geht besser. Schw. A.
