"Aswile Kangele und Ruben Gambi 14.11.37 Ululu." ("Aswile Kangele and Ruben Gambi 11/14/1937 in Ululu."). Two Africans wearing uniform-like suits are standing in front of a thatched hut. The right one, Ruben Gambi, is wearing a kind of a decoration on his breast. Ruben Gambi was an assistant to the missionaries. He died in 1938. -- Werner Hauffe (1909-1982) was a carpenter and later a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. From 1933 to 1939, he served in Rungwe, Utengule and Isoko. In Utengule, he was an assistant to Brother Gemuseus. In 1937, he married Irmgard Wolff.
