Caption dated September 7, 1950 reads, "Installation of dial switching equipment is underway at the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company's new central office, above, which is adjacent to the present structure at 6827 Reseda Blvd. New structure will provide for expansion of equipment to serve more telephones in the Reseda exchange."
