Description
Photograph of ranks of about 50 Yuma Indian boys and about 50 Yuma Indian girls posed between two buildings of the government Indian School at Yuma, ca.1900. The boys all wear identical uniforms with caps. The girls all wear identical dresses of a dotted pattern. Boys stand in 6 lines on the left, the girls in 6 lines on the right. Perspective is from an angle so that the girls are closer to the foreground than the boys. Two one-story wooden buildings, both with wraparound porches are visible at left and right.
