Photograph of a "small" coastal junk loaded with timber at port in China, ca.1900. A wide ship with numerous masts is pictured at center, other, smaller ships visible in the harbor behind it. Small water craft make their way to the junk's sides with lumber while shipmen work to clasp it to the already trepidant and bowing bundle on the side.
