Description
Eric Van Lustbader discusses his book, “First Daughter.” He begins by discussing the timeliness of the book and how he has been thinking about writing about political issues for several years. He then explains the book’s plot, which centers on the protagonist, Jack, who has been asked to find the incoming President’s daughter when she goes missing. Van Lustbader then shares events in his own life that influenced his writing. He then goes on to discuss his writing process and the importance of having realistic characters. Later in the interview he discusses politics, politicians, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
