Description
Pacific Electric Railway streetcar no. 952, on the Venice line, on tracks in vicinity of Venice and Santa Monica, California. Sign on front of car says "Venice Line."
This is a copy negative (a photograph of another photograph). Title devised by cataloger based on note: "Pacific Electric car, Venice, California" from Ernest Marquez written on envelope as it was received. The Pacific Electric Railway system of electric streetcars and rail was also known as the Red Car system. The Pacific Electric Railway's Venice Short Line route was discontinued in 1948. (erha.org)
