Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 13, 1961 reads "Youth greets military unit at Veterans Day parade - Dan Culhane, 6, 10825 Valjean St., Granada Hills, displays his American flag as more than 30 Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine units march pass [sic] during the fourth annual Veterans Day parade in Van Nuys. The parade, which traveled along Vanowen street and Van Nuys boulevard, ended at Van Nuys High School where former Gov. Goodwin Knight spoke at memorial services on the school's athletic field. Col. Robert D. Campell, commanding officer of 146th Air Transport Wing of Van Nuys, served as grand marshal of the parade."
