Description
Photograph of an aerial view of Los Angeles looking east from the Third Street Hill, ca.1918. The tops of many tall buildings are visible. The buildings are all at least five stories high and are a variety of colors. There is one especially tall building at right, and there is smoke spewing from a factory in the distance at center. A wide paved street is visible in the foreground at left, and several pedestrians can be seen walking along the sidewalk that parallels the road. At right is the Geo. L. Birkel clothing company.
