Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing ruins of buildings on Market Street from the Flood Building, 1906. The Flood Building stands in the foreground on the left with pieces of wood and metal piping lying over the sea of bricks in front of it. A crowd of people with horse-drawn carriages stand on the street which runs from the right foreground to the left distance. They observe the heavy damage to a large building on the right. The buildings in the background on the left have also suffered severe damage, but still stand.
