Description: Autograph letter from Barras to Destouches, dated 15 May 1781 on Barras' printed letterhead with seal, written on board the ship Duc de Bourgogne and signed by Barras' scribe Granchain. Barras directs Destouches to take command of the ship Neptune and equip it with all lieutenants, auxiliary officers and mariners immediately. Signed on board the Duc de Bourgogne, 15 Mai 1781. Verso of the leaf is blank.
