Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing ruins of buildings on Kearney Street from California Street, with the Call Building in the distance, 1906. People stand in the street at center with fallen bricks at their feet. The bricks have spilled from either side of the street where the remains of large buildings stand. Most buildings have lost their ceilings as well as large portions of their exterior walls. The electrical poles on either side still stand. Copyright, 1906, by J.D. Cardinell.
