Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 17, 1948 partially reads, "The reedy strains of Scottish bagpipes will mingle with the clicking of Spanish castanets in the San Fernando Fiesta parade on June 7. The San Fernando Fire Department bagpipe band dressed in full Scottish regalia will march with the scores of bands entered in the parade. Known as the Fraser bagpipe band with three members in 1946, the group won a trophy in the 1947 Fiesta parade. The San Fernando Fire department took over the sponsorship at that time and today the membership is more than doubled."
