View of a brick house and garden that was the residence of William Workman (1799–1876) in Rancho La Puente (present day City of Industry, California).
Title transcribed from negative. Date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that film negatives came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. A related print of this image appears in the Huntington Library's Verne Dyson Collection (mssHM 26404) p. 178 (Box 4) with the caption: "The Residence on Rancho La Puente, built by William Workman in 1843. Red flat bricks."
