Photograph was edited for publication purposes Amadee Chabot represented the U.S. in the 1962 Miss World Pageant held in London where she finished in 8th place. Chabot, also known as Amedee Chabot or Joy Chabot, also toured with Bob Hope and enjoyed a successful acting career in Mexico, appearing in over 20 films. Photograph caption dated October 25, 1962 reads, "Amedee Chabot, Miss United States of America, waves farewell as she boards an airliner for the first leg of a flight to London, where she'll compete in the Miss World beauty contest. The 17-year-old blue-eyed blonde lives in Northridge."
