Description
Photograph of a beet digger loading sugar beets into a truck in Imperial Valley, ca.1950. A tractor with an umbrella for shade rides through the tall plants of the field while a large truck drives just next to it and a rotating wheel on the right cuts through the tall grass. A second umbrella shades a man on the right who seems to be guiding the sugar beats to the large pile in the wooden bins at the back of the truck.
