Photograph caption dated April 21, 1958 reads, "Val Schlom, 6, puts his O.K. on baked items to be offered for sale at Noble Avenue School's open house 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 8425 Noble Ave., Sepulveda. Pleased with youthful verdict are, from left, Mmes. Marshall Schlom, John Catlow, bake sale chairman, and Joseph Lipman. Other members of committee are Mmes. Thomas Mack, Eugene Sheckles and Charles Swanson. Proceeds will be used for books for new school library."
