Designed by Peter K. Schabarum, the Art Deco Valley Municipal Building, located at 14410 Sylvan Street, was completed in 1932 and is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. Looking across the street from next to a bail bonds business (later demolished) with a neon sign towards Valley Municipal Building, also known as Van Nuys City Hall.
