Photograph caption dated December 31, 1957 reads, "Teenagers adopt crippled duck - Mike, 15, left, and Don Cullen 16, feed and caress pet mallard duck which they have adopted. Bird was wounded by a hunter's bullet and left leg had to be amputated. Missing limb does not hamper pet which scampers about backyard home with family dog, pet chicken and a desert turtle."; See image #00119669 for additional photo in this series.
